Projects: Book 1: Journey to Kerrera

The Alecs Turley Series of Sci-Fi Thrillers.

The first book in the series is Journey to Kerrera. I have always loved sience fiction, and the better part of my teaching career was devoted to researching and academic publishing in the field of Design Fiction,

At its core, this anticipatory methodology asks, “What if?“ to examine the social, cultural, and behavioral ramifications and unintended consequences of what we invent. I infused this research into the worldbuilding of the novel to create a plausible future 150 years from now. Journey to Kerrera is a well-grounded piece of science fiction, action, and whodunit. It takes place on a deep space freighter, the MTS Myrrh. True to my obsessive insistence on detail, I built the Myrrh in 3D with a schematic of all the decks. An actual model was indispensable to chronicle the labyrinth our protagonist has to navigate to survive. You can see it here.
